Sue Kolloru BargerThe NSERC-Pratt & Whitney Chair for Women in Science and Engineering (Ontario Region), Dr. Catherine Mavriplis, is pleased to present An Engineer's Foray into International Business – Lessons from Sue Kolloru Barger.

Sue Kolloru Barger is a Partner and Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a global management strategy consulting firm. In 2015, BCG was ranked second in Fortune's annual "Best Companies to Work For" list (Google was #1).

Sue is a core member of the Technology, Media and Telecom practice area, as well as the Operations and People & Organization practice areas. She has been based in Atlanta, New York and Singapore and has worked with clients within the US, Indian and South East Asian markets.

Sue joined BCG in 2005, and previously worked as a network consultant and sales engineer at Lucent Technologies in Boston, and as a hardware engineer at Nortel Networks in Ottawa.

Sue is an active champion of women at BCG and her community. She is the BCG Atlanta/Miami Women's Initiative Lead. She also serves on civic and community Boards including Women in Technology focused on supporting women at every stage of their STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) careers.

She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa and a MBA from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

In 2015, Sue was selected as a recipient of the Faculty of Engineering's Young Alumni Award of Excellence.
