When it comes to uOttawa, Katherine has, serendipitously, taken the scenic route: having begun her studies in the mid-seventies, she continued until 1990, a period which included a decade of raising three kids and living in South America with her family. Now, after another “brief” hiatus, she makes a welcome return to her alma mater 15 years later as a humble member of the Board. (At this rate, she may even get her PhD at age 75!) Honored to join the Board of the Alumni Association, she is anxious to be an active member and put her varied experience to use and is also looking forward to renewing old friendships and making new ones.
Katherine’s professional background as analyst and competitive intelligence specialist has provided her with the opportunity to be directly involved with top-rated companies providing extensive international exposure. After holding positions at Ernst & Young and McKinsey & Company, in 2003 Katherine founded Tokes Consulting and Associates and currently works as managing consultant affiliated with the BDC Group. Some of her free time is divided between different boards, among them a professional network in Montreal, actively being involved in chambers of commerce events, and coaching her three children in their endeavors to reach their respective goals.
