The 10th edition of the MBNA Capital Hoops Classic is just around the corner… We’ve packaged an amazing deal for our alumni and friends to cheer on our Gee-Gees! Don’t miss any of the action as the uOttawa Gee-Gees take on the Carleton Ravens on Friday, February 5!
This event will feature two games – a women’s matchup between the uOttawa Gee-Gees and the Carleton Ravens at 6 p.m., followed by the men’s contest at 8 p.m.
Our women’s basketball team – the winner of last year’s MBNA Capital Hoops Classic – currently sits atop the OUA North Division standings.
Our men’s basketball team is undefeated and is currently Canada’s top-ranked men’s basketball team.
Last year, the MBNA Capital Hoops Classic set a record for a CIS league game with over 10,000 fans in attendance, so come out and join the fun!

* IMPORTANT: Tickets must be picked up in person after January 28, 2016 at the Minto Sports Complex Client Services Desk at 801 King Edward, Ottawa ON (Tickets purchased on or after January 29, can only be picked up as of February 1 at the same location).

This ticket package ensures that you will be seated with fellow uOttawa alumni and friends and is the only way to attend the Official uOttawa Alumni and Friends 2016 MBNA Capital Hoops Party. About the MBNA Capital Hoops Classic
Since its debut in 2006, the MBNA Capital Hoops Classic has generated the highest recorded attendance figures in the history of Canadian Interuniversity Sport basketball. The inaugural game, which featured only a men’s match-up, attracted 9,730 fans. In 2009, a new record was set when the Canadian Tire Centre hosted 10,523 people for the event. That record was broken in 2015 when 10,780 basketball fans took in the action.
