Have you always wondered how elite athletes are able to keep ittogether under tremendous pressure?
And how their experiences could inspire you to become more resistant to stress and to overcome everyday
life’s greatest challenges?
Then you won’t want to miss uOttawa alumna, Dr. Kimberley Amirault-Ryan (MA in Human Kinetics, ’98),
Lead, Mental Performance Consultant for the Canadian Olympic Committee and Performance Consultant
for the Edmonton Oilers, as well as our panel of alumni who are elite Canadian athletes!
Kimberley Amirault-Ryan has trained the minds of leading NHL and NBA players, and some of Canada’s
top Olympic athletes. In her presentation, “Reaching Your Full Potential: Elite Athletes’ Keys to Success”
she will discuss the importance of identifying goals, striving for excellence, building trust with team members
and coaches, and staying focused despite adversity.
During the panel, moderated by Professor Pierre Trudel, athletes will discuss how they mentally prepare for elite
competitions and share some techniques that everyone can benefit from in their everyday lives.
