The University of Ottawa Alumni Association is pleased to invite students and friends of the University to a lunchtime sharing session with alumnus Gregory So, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government. The program will also include a short presentation by a uOttawa student.

Hong Kong: A Promising Startup Ecosystem
Hong Kong has experienced phenomenal growth in the start-up ecosystem over the past couple of years. It is one of the fastest growing startup hubs in the world. More than 40% of the founders of the city’s startups have been from overseas.
Gregory So, an alumnus of the University of Ottawa himself (LLB ’84, MBA ’84), will share his insights into the unique advantages of Hong Kong as one of the best places to start a business and its potential growth areas. He will also provide an update on the latest development in this international city, including the city’s role in China’s visionary Belt and Road initiative.
