Isabelle Wallace: Determined to improve First Nations health
Isabelle Wallace (MScN ’18), member of the Indigenous Alumni Council and registered nurse, was the first Indigenous woman to serve as a nurse in her community, the Maliseet First Nation of Madawaska, New Brunswick. As national program coordinator of Indigenous Services Canada’s Public Health Surge Team, her vision of improving access to health care has taken on a Canada-wide scope. Having just turned 31, her career speaks of her outstanding determination and clear vision.
