About the Panda Game

Since its inception in 1955, the Panda Game has been the marquee event on the local university athletic calendar.  Named after "Pedro the Panda," originally a Gee-Gees stuffed Panda Bear mascot turned trophy, the game caught the imagination of the entire city as Pandanappings and other Pandashenanigans gained headlines and added to the lore. On the field and in the stands, it's a classic contest that draws alumni and current students from across the province.  The game was dormant from 1998 until 2013 when the Ravens football program was revived, and now it returns to its traditional home at Lansdowne.
