Brain Health Awareness Week (BHAW), September 22 to 27

Keynote Addresses: Journey to Recovery: Perspectives on Living with a Mental Illness

Brain Health Awareness Week kicks off Monday evening with three distinguished keynote speakers:

  • Elizabeth Manley, a former Canadian Olympic silver medallist in figure skating,
  • Stéphane Richer, a former player for the Montreal Canadiens, and
  • Shelley McKay, a former Canadian national team athlete.

All three speakers have experienced journeys of acceptance and recovery from mental health issues. Together, they are participating in Brain Health Awareness Week, to shed light on an important issue that many Canadians must face.
